I'm Grace. I'm a little bit random and completely crazy. This is me trying to lose the sophomore fifteen. We'll see what happens.
Also: if I follow you, or comment on your stuff, it'll show up as my main blogs URL, oxymoronical. Just so you're not confused!

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 80

80. Write your current weight. Have you lost anything in the past week? If not, what are your plans for this week? + Today is the last day of this challenge. After writing your stats, describe how you’ll continue eating/exercising from now on!

I did all of this in other posts.

But Day 80.

Wow.

Here I am.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 79

79. What was the most recent compliment/comment about your body?

Uhhh.  Well I was taking my dog for a walk the other day and I got honks and whistles from a car of high school boys…but in terms of a real compliment, a few weeks ago my friend told me I looked more toned.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 78

78. Write your current weight. Have you lost anything in the past week? If not, what are your plans for this week?

Well, I weighed myself on Saturday night, so it probably wasn’t accurate, and I’m not going to worry about it anyway.

Goals for this week:

1.  Try to leave a little food behind each meal.  Even just a grape, or a pretzel, or a bite of something.  To show food that I win.

2.  Don’t snack after dinner unless you need to meet your caloric goal!

3.  Run seven miles on Thursday! (My birthday!!)

4.  Continue to cut back on grazing, bingeing and make good choices, even with my birthday week.  (But I also know that this weekend…well let’s just say I’ll definitely be celebrating!)

Ahhhh this challenge is almost over.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 77

77. Do you enjoy eating healthy or do you find it being too expensive or that it takes too much of your time?

I really like it!  Granted, I don’t pay for a lot of groceries, but I do buy things like fruit and nuts and oatmeal for myself.  It’s definitely worth the cost to me.  It doesn’t take any more time than unhealthy eating - it’s choosing to have wheat bread instead of white, or picking up an apple instead of an Oreo for a snack.  Simple as that.

I have no plans to stop this lifestyle I’ve invented.  Sure, there are times I sit down and eat the cookies and go to McDonalds, but those aren’t the norm now.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 76

76. Do you drink smoothies? If so, what is your favorite recipe?

I don’t, actually.  I’d rather eat fruit than drink it!

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 75

75. Do you have a “trigger food”? A type of food that is impossible for you to say no to or stop eating?

Um, yeah.

Cookies.  Brownies.  Homemade desserts.  Ice cream.

I have a HUGE sweet tooth.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 74

74. Today you won’t count calories. You won’t look at food labels. You will try to eat intuitively. What does that mean? Eat when you’re hungry, don’t look at the clock! Eat whatever your body desires! Just make sure it’s healthy. If you crave anything sweet, eat it! But a healthy amount. And remember, today you must forget all about calories!

This was actually really hard for me.  I did it, and for the first (and last!) time I did this one.  I ate a normal breakfast and lunch, but before dinner I was bingeing a little (on healthy stuff, but still) and during dinner I was still thinking about calories.  It’s hard not to.  I’m not obsessed, but I am a little.  But I didn’t track anything today!  Tomorrow I will go back to tracking…I learned today I’m not ready to eat intuitively yet!  (But hopefully soon!)

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 73

73. What do you usually order when eating out in a restaurant or at someone else’s house?

Hmmm.  Depends.  Sometimes, if I’m out, I just let myself enjoy being out.  I let it be a cheat.  I have a big family, and so we don’t eat out very much at all - not even fast food.  With my friends, though, I try to make good choices.  I get bowls at Chipotle instead of burritos, I get salad and soup at Panera now, etc.  I usually end up eating light for the rest of the day regardless, because the meals are always so filling, regardless of where they’re from.  I’ve started to intuitively eat well, and knowing what’s good for me and what isn’t, so I just try to make decent choices out.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 71 & 72

71. Write your current weight. Have you lost anything in the past week? If not, what are your plans for this week?

I’m not weighing myself!  But this week my big goal is to not eat after dinner!  And to run 7 miles Saturday…eek!  I can do it though, I know that.

72. Do you eat the same meal as your family or do you eat specially prepared food?

I usually eat a similar meal for dinner, just heavier on the veggies/fruit and less on the starch.  For lunch I usually do my own thing.

80 Day Weight Loss Challenge: Day 70

Only ten more days of this…crazy!

70. Were you ever obese or underweight?

Nope.  I’ve always been ‘normal’.  I mean I used to be super-tiny and really really short until the 7th grade, but I haven’t ever really been underweight.
