Breakfast: I tried steel cut oats this morning! They weren’t great, but I tried them. I mashed up a banana in them and brown sugar as usual. A cup of green tea!
Lunch: The place where I’m interning had a cookout today, which was awesome on a non-food level in terms of my relationships with people (like mildly flirting with my mildly drunk boss…casual haha and talking to one of the interns and discovering he was way cooler than I thought) but not great in terms of eating. BUT. I made awesome choices and I’m so proud of myself. I had one burger with ketchup (no cheese) and a bun, and a little bit of potato salad. No chips, and no drink. So it was good for me. :)
Snacks: Whole-wheat toast with a spoonful of peanut butter. Melty peanut butter spreads so well and goes so much farther!
Dinner: Wheat bun, turkey burger, green beans, grapes, and salad with fat-free Italian. I didn’t have any tater tots, any chips, or anything.
I might have a banana for a snack…and yes I am over in calories (about 300 over my 1200 limit, but I always overestimate food and underestimate my exercise so I might not be so bad) but I made such good, healthy choices today that I’m not angry at myself…I don’t believe it’s truly binging unless I feel guilty about it.
It was a good day. So many good choices.
Workout: 30 minutes on the weight loss setting on the elliptical and 7 weight machines.
